Terry's Photographs.
For the final GG session of each year it has become something of a tradition that we work at the Old Chalk Quarry, Shide - this year was no exception. As can be seen from the photographs, there is always plenty of summer growth that needs a serious pruning. The weather was somewhat warmer than it has been recently but unfortunately there was the occasional rain shower. With mince pies to be had at tea break it was a nice way to end out the year.
Many thanks to the Team GG members who have made 2022 so successful, we look forward to seeing you all in 2023.
Phil's New Year Walk ... On the Wednesday 4th January Phil has planned us a lovely walk to get us moving again after the Christmas excesses.
Meet in Shorwell at 10.30 opposite Shorwell Church (road parking). He says around a 5 kilometer walk, around a downland valley with an optional 3 km extension around ancient manor houses. The 2nd part may be damp underfoot depending on the weather. A lunch opportunity afterwards at The Crown Inn.
