Terry's photos
The session this week was at Newclose County Cricket Ground. This followed on from the one a month ago. The charity run operation here holds various events and hosts cricket and non cricketing activities. We helped by giving visiting guests a good first impression by concentrating our efforts on the various beds around the entrance. Wishing them a good season!
Whilst there, Mark took the opportunity to check on the growth of the non-native weed 'Himalayan Balsam' Impatiens glandulifera which we've been pulling during the summer months. They are as yet quite small. The one shown (awaiting photo) was the tallest found; most are still lurking under the cover of the nettles which are at their full height. We keep our fingers crossed there will be a noticeable reduction in numbers where we've previously concentrated efforts up stream!
Thank you to Mark for the editorial and Terry for the photos.
