Terry's Photographs.
Unfortunately, I was unable to attend this session so unable to write the editorial. This is taken from Mark's e-mail that gave us the instructions for the day.
This week it is back to Birchmore Pond in Blackwater as I said before on what is technically the Merstone Stream rather than the Medina. Parking is along the verge of Birchmore Lane near Birchmore Pond.
We were here a couple of weeks ago and the Himalayan Balsam here is very noticeably reduced thanks to our efforts last year. That said there are certainly pockets of the weed to tackle! Long sleeves and trousers again for protection against nettles. Wellies also a good idea so as to be able to stand in the cool water of the stream. Plus a stick for support!
Many thanks to Terry for his excellent photographs 👏.
