Where we were for this session..

Rather muddy and overgrown!

Work gets underway....

Time for tea.

How to "flat pack" a jungle...!

This session was something of a fill-in one due to the original venue becoming a non-event. With all the equipment and supplies loaded into several wheel barrows, it was a bit of a route march to the actual worksite. The instructions were simple..."cut your way in and pile everything that you cut". Most of what was in our way was willow which, as can been seen in the photographs above, grows prolifically down on the land area adjacent to the creek. With bow saws and lopers we hacked our way into the "jungle" leaving behind huge habitat piles in our wake. Not the best of weather as it was rather grey and quite windy but it was a reasonably good turn out and plenty was achieved.

Many thanks to Mark for his photographs and video clip.

I wonder if any one can help me solve one of the great mysteries of life...? Every time we go to work at this site, we have to park miles away due to all the parking spaces at the bottom of Stag Lane being taken. There always seems to be around 25 plus cars taking up all the available spaces...so my question is, do they belong to an army of dog walkers OR....did Vesta's fail to plan for enough parking spaces at their new factory..? I will publish any answers that I get on future blogs...😊
