Terry's Photographs.
Mark's Editorial.
Although the lyrics don't really fit ... to be honest, hardly at all, the title certainly does, so I encourage you to click on the link and listen while you read this week's editorial.
To say that it was muddy is an understatement, but what a lovely place to work nevertheless. The site is a wetland nature reserve so the clues are there as they say.
We set about finishing off the cutting and clearing to make a dead hedge. Some of the material had been cut in the intervening weeks since our last visit by the resident bird ringing group here. Haseley Manor is a great resource for ornithology and scientific research, and is used for teaching others the skills needed for bird ringing.
You can see that some of the springs on site have been pooling and causing problems for getting around so we got stuck in... literally ... and dug more channels for piping in order to guide the flow elsewhere.

Many thanks to Terry for taking such excellent photos on a very "damp" day and Mark for the words. 👍👏.
